10 things to be thankful for before 2010 ends

10 things to be thankful for before 2010 ends

time flies by as in fast! it just goes zoom! as this year is about to end, here are 10 things that i am thankful for:

1. I AM STILL ALIVE - hahaha.. as morbid as i am, i am still thankful to be living and breathing and ALIVE! as the say, life is a gift and it should be cherished. although i am not sure of my health in general, i am still happy that i am still here and just experienced an asthma attack, plus a couple or two episodes of severe cold. the most severe thing would be my allegy attack. am actually suffering from it now. itchy palms and itchy feet! as in major majorly ITCHY! this is because of eating thing that trigger my allergies. number one is chicken skin, fried, grilled, steamed, stewed, you name it. as long as its chicken skin, i'm allergic. as well as various seafood but i'm definite that there is no seafood in take of that.

2. PROMOTION - it crossed my mind to be LBM a.k.a. "Looking for Better Management" by january of 2010 but this totally changed my mind. before 2010 started, i was offered by my boss to be a product specialist! it was really a shocker for me! i wasn't able to say yes right away and actually asked to be given time to think about it over the weekend as this would be a BIG thing for my career. i thought why me at first? then i said why not me?? i also though that this would be a one step up the corporate ladder. after much deliberation, i decided to go forth and risk! i said YES! and soon after, i was already preparing myself to be a product specialist. i'll be handling the pricing, marketing and promotions of an exclusively distributed product of our company. i'll be presenting in our company's mid-year and year-end business review. i'll be coordinating with our principals in singapore. it wont' deny that i was daunting, but as the months go by this year, all became well. stress was there and it had a pretty good way of making its self felt. but i will be officially a product specialist by january 1. haha..

3. BROTHER AND SISTER PLUS FATHER - this had to go next to my promotion. they say the major thing that make you stay in a company are the people you work with. i am happy to say that our group rocks! YEAH! our group consist of 5 at the moment, our boss, mother, kapatid and frend. our boss is way cool! he always have reminders/ teachings for us for our professional and personal lives. mother was one of my boss when i was an AE and she's my yosi buddy and all around sister, kapatid is one of the AE's that i worked with before she got promoted and although she handles a competitor brand, she is still a sister. friend is generally the happiest person that i have ever met; so full of energy and positivity! that's us..

4. GADGETS - i need to be abreast with technology as i am working in the IT industry. i made a decision that i need a laptop and a new mobile phone. i got it! i am now a proud owner of an Asus netbook i named "Bookie" and a hot pink Nokia C3 mobile phone i named "Pinkie". both of them are really cool.. no wait, major majorly cool! hahahah i've paid Pinkie in full already but Bookie i have a lot to pay still until December 2011. alas, i have to sell a lot to get better commissions. it's either that or they give me a raise or i look for a greener pasture. but i think the greener pasture looks so far away still.. masyadong nakakapagod kung lalakarin.. hahah

5. PARTY NIGHTS - i think i went home well not late but rather too early more than last year.. i think this means i have more money or i have just more guts to go out and party? hehehe.. i think i have to figure that out before going back to bed, library, o bar, and che-lu in malate, jobsite and isla, plus friends homes for drinks. i think i need to lessen the party nights as it takes me about 2 whole days to completely recover from being awake for 24 plus hours and alcohol's dehydrating effects not mention the hang overs. but i think this is some thing that i enjoy too much to completely let it go. plus the enjoyment and the bonding that alcohol brings is undeniable. hehehe..i'll be stopping because i know want to drink.

6. BUNDLE OF JOY - my darling niece cielle is growing up so fast! as in really fast! like somebody fed her weight and intelligence capsules. she's now 1 year and 9 months at the moment and she'll enter her "terrible two" stage. although i feel she's already in it. ahahaha.. but it doesn't matter at all. she's still our family's bundle of joy :D

7. LOCAL TRAVELS - with the promotion came addtional load of work. i needed to visit provincial resellers too. although m visits to cebu, baguio, dagupan, bicol, cagayan de oro was for business, the mere fact that i was able to travel via air was AMAZING!!! it has always been a dream of mine to ride a plane since superman said it was still the safest way to travel..it was a dream because i was never been able to travel outside of luzon.. i have now.. next goal would be overseas.. hahah

8.

9.

10.

now i know that i said "10" things but unfortunately, i can't think of 3 more things to add to the list. so i'm gonna leave it at 7 for now..let me know if you think i should add something else to the list.. heheh

2010 has indeed been a good year for me. i believe it is.

they say that the best teacher you'll ever have is experience. with all the things that happened to me during 2010, i can say that i have grown a person. the laughs, the tears, the pain, the challenges and all that jazz will have hopefully prepared me for 2011..

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!

122610 tagaytay cool air with most coolest people EVER!

fogive me for mis-using my superlatives..but there is no word to best describe it. it's like venus raj's "major major" moment during this year's ms. universe pagent.

as some of you may know from a previous blog, i was part of the student council of our college in my "hail, hail, alma mater" DLSU-D from 05-06 to 06-07. still i will say that these were some of the best days of my life. as our dear adviser for to years said in my status last saturday, we always have two gatherings every year. a mid-year and a december get together for 3 consecutive years now (congrats guys!)

since we gather twice a year, it is sometimes difficult to coordinate with everyone as all of us are now working professionals(naks!). scheduling is always a challenge! of course since we are already gathering, we need to be quorum always! of course, the more the merrier!

as the hermana mayor (a person in charge of coordinating with everyone as well as the activities that will happen on that day), we decided to have the get together at a special place! TAGAYTAY CITY, the Baguio City of the South. Weather here is coolest during the holiday season. this has been a get a way location for us during our college days. it has been a long while since i've been to tagaytay. and to be honest, i have still yet to visit all the restos and tourists attractions here in my 4 years of my college life. i might just have been a good college student and not wander much <wink wink>. given that, i am definitely not aware of all the good spots to go to and since majority of our group are from cavite, i asked them the best spots to go to..heheh..we settled on lunch and coffee at Bag of Beans, a local restaurant and coffee place then we will be racing our adrenalin by doing zip line at picnic groove or at the tagaytay zoo. everything was set! we were to meet at robinson's dasma @ 10:30 am and be at coffee bean before 12:00nn, leave there at around 3 pm to do zipline then we'll work on what to do next after the zipline.

two from our group, myself included, are from the clean and green city of las piñas. we had a long way to go to get to dasmariñas and longer still to get to tagaytay. so we were already traveling by 9:30 am. we took a jeepney then stood in the bus for about 20 to 30 minutes before there were available seats for us to take. of course we took advantage of that travel period to much awaited talk about what has happened to us the past year plus plus. we arrived at our rendezvous pointe, robinson dasma at around 11:00 i guess. yes we were late! hahaha but it didn't matter as we saw our friends after a long long while..we waited for a few minutes more for other people to arrive. some of our friends will be going directly to the bag of beans as it would be more faster for them to go directly. our group of 8 were on a bus to tagaytay by 11:45 i think good thing the bus wasn't ful.l we have the bus for our selves actually. we were all at the back of the bus and i'm sure you can imagine how noisy we were! we were laughing out loud and joking around like there were no other passengers..just like the good old times when we travel.. there was just a kill buzz.. TRAFFIC! we were confronted by a major traffic jam up our way. our bus took a short cut to evade the traffic but as any traffic is, if it is jammed, it is JAMMED! a kill buzz right?? hopes were still high as we still had something to joke about as we have asked the bus driver and conductor to switch the channels from one network to another but consistently ignored. but as hunger kicks in, we needed a plan b and get to a restaurant fast plus coordinate with others. our group decided to just have lunch at hawaian bbq as this was the nearest restaurant. like some of the restaurants in that location, hawaian bbq has a tandem with the botique to serve as a bed and breakfast for travelers and tourist. the entire place has a nice view of the taal volcano and if you look at the rooms an amazing view of people who might me in the showers! hahaha.. am not kidding though..you can see everything <wink>

we started to eat while waiting for the others. food was great although service was a bit slow. other than that, it was just a great lunch with people..our peeps started arriving and we ended with a grand total of 14 people! yes a whopping 14 people, maja karla ricky mack joey xy arnie jeff mahal melow ryan aaron russel and myself.. hahah believe me we were still not complete. we were still lacking 3 people who had other commitments for the day. we enjoyed lunch and a whole lot of laughs and left the resto at around 3:00pm after settling a 7k worth of lunch courtesy of xy (thanks thanks!). coffee was next on the itinerary.

since we were a big group, transportation was a bit of a problem. but our group can adjust. 2 of us have cars which can transport 10 people and have 4 take the bus. there was still traffic and i mean traffic! good thing the weather was still cool. after about a 20 to 30 minute travel (normally it should have been about 5 to 10 minutes) we were again complete this time at bag of beans. the smell of freshly brewed coffee and freshly baked bread with cinnamon within a great garden with soothing music..ah, the best place to continue our fun filled day. we, as usual, ate again, desserts this time. blue berry cheese cake, strarberry cheese cakes, shepherds pie, blueberrry pancakes and more..sounds delish' right? wait until you taste it! it's like having a cooking master boy moment! i don't know how to descibe it.. hmm..it's like having an orgasmic moment in your mouth..i'll leave you to your imagination.. hehehe. since i wasn't a coffee drinker, i ordered camomile tea with a plate of blue berry pan cakes! ah bliss!! and sharing it with your friends, it was even better.. with longer stories the time passed by quickly add picture takings which we all love, the sun set down on us.. bringing in more cold to my pleasure.. hehe.. it's not every day that i get to experience the clean natural cool air from the mountains..

the same as any normal group of youngsters and as it has been tradition, we need to go belt our lungs out in VIDEOKE! oh yes! we were down to 13 at this time.. we were down one car since aaron had to leave for another get together<tear>.. we needed to find a mode of transportation for 9 people as 3 girls were travelling with melow. since it was already dark, a bus was hard to come by the road that we were waiting on..our saviour were tricycles! they were the taxis of the city although more expensive since the videoke place was so far from bag of beans. i took the back ride. and boy i was cold! standing still was already cold but moving in a open air vehicle it was freezing..i still liked it though..and it was a good moment to smoke!hahaha(caution: never smoke in a public utility vehicle in metro manila! its prohibited.. i know, i was taken in the police precint before..)

by the time we got to bali seafoods paluto for videoke, we were down to 12 as ryan needed to leave..we settled in room b3 energy was still high! plus there was alcohol! yey! britney spears, beyonce, lady gaga, backstreet boys, n'sync, journey, 6 cycle mind, callalily songs plus more were all sung but the creme dela creme was chris brown's forever. while some one was singing, we all stood up and danced like were in our own private club. the highlight of the night, was ricky's performance! haha.. (for more details, please ask ricky na lang.. heheh). of course, maja's gifts for us was always a treat(i got a white watch! thanks maja<hugs>)fatigue set in and we decided to call it a night. we stood quite while still taking pictures outside bali, and continued to chat..

melow had to pick up her sister before heading home so we were down to 11. we decided to wait for a jeepney to ride but it took so long.. normally, the last bus from tagaytay to manila leaves at 9:00pm. so we just waited for a jeep.. and we waited for a jeep.. and waited still until joey came up with an idea to ride tricycles again to rotonda. it took 4 tricycles to take us there. a jeep was convinced to head to zapote since we were so many and we were off.. from 11 we became 7 after robinson dasma, 5 after salitran, 4 after pason santol, 2 until zapote. me and mahal.

when i got home, i still had the energy to open my FB account and changed my status about how i enjoyed my day plus the wee hours of the morning with my cbasc family.. then i recalled karla or jeff after our lunch, she/he said "parang dati, ang gimmik natin is sa isawan sa harap ng lasalle..nag level-up na tayo". indeed we had moved up a level. well maybe two..hahaha..from the young men and women that we were in college, we were now contributing young professionals making our marks in our individual careers. and yet we were still the same people that i recall. a bit bigger in terms of body mass, yes, but also more wiser and mature with age. before when we got together we just looked back and recalled out cbasc days, now we talked about current events plus latest showbiz happenings. we really did mature but we all stayed the same.. just the way that i like it..heheh

i recalled creating a story after the end of our term about a princess badly missing her friends: the funny jester, the handsome prince, the fairy god mother, the beautiful muse, the famous dancer, the knight in training, the sorceror's apprentice, the gentle giantess and another character i can't seem to recall(if you guys remember, let me know ok?)..it was cute, yes. but it was fantasy. let's put it in the archives.. and let us start new stories this time starring us.

life was good then, it still is today and will be tomorrow.

i'm deeply happy to have spent my 12/26 with you guys..and look forward to meet you again perhaps in singapore?? hahahah

darren criss in greenbelt park

darren criss in greenbelt park

"ah, darren criss, what a dream boat...hahahaha", said the girl that was standing next to during darren criss' at greenbelt park just a few hours ago.. she wasn't wrong..a dream boat he really is..

we all know him as blaine from the hit tv series, glee and if you happen to know a very potter musical, as harry potter.. i saw him in glee first then stumbled upon the musical after doing a little bit of research.. did i mention he was a dream boat already?? hahahaha

he is a short guy, probably because of his filipino genes but his talent is is undeniable as well as his musicality.

he sang about 7 songs including his cover of part of your world from disney's a little mermaid, have yourself a merry little chirstmas, 2 songs from a very potter musical, and some other songs that i can't hear much because of two loud boys discussing about basketball <blah!insensitive much??>. a good keyboardist and superb guitarist also..plus he's a dream boat(hahahaha, i just can not not say it!)

his encore was his first ever song in glee, teenage dream by katy perry. when he started singing, you could see all the mobile phones, digicams and SLR cams hit record button as everyone started to sing a long.. i too took a video of his performane but it sems my mobile phone's video recording function is not working properly. when i played it back, you can also hear the dulcet voice of the ghost from jun-ong (the grudge).. hahahaha.. but seriously it was a bad recording <tear>

there was also a free meet and greet photo op with him but i decided not to fall in line 'cause i was so hungry! hehehe, plus there was a long queue minutes after the show.

since i wasn't able to meet him i would say this "darren, if by chance you are reading this, please do come back to the philippine and i'll prepare all the lumpia that you can ever eat!"

wedding and wake weekend

officially my week end started with a taxi ride from Malate, Manila to our house in LPC. yes i was in another gimmik with my officemates since it would be the last day of our boss before he takes his vacation leave. so we went to The Library again and laughed our hearts out from the comedic acts of its performers. Even better than when we went there last last week. We decided to head our separate ways at around 1 in the morning. So after waiting for about 30 minutes, i finally convinced a cabbie to take me home to our humble abode.

i got home, if i remember correctly, at around 2:30 in the morning to find my father just arriving from his business trip around northern luzon telling my mother how he got caught in trafice on his way home. we all went to bed at around 3:00 as we still need shut eyes before the wedding of my niece, sarah. she is my niece but i treat her like an older cousin. her wedding was held in our lady of lourdes church in tagaytay city. tagaytay is a city in cavite that houses the smallest volcano in the philippines or in the entire world (am not sure, but im sure it's the smallest!) my last visit to tagaytay was so long ago that the thought of being in tagaytay was a joy to be experienced again with family members.

we were late for the wedding ceremony. not entirely late though. the weather was cold.. ah yes! it was cold. in manila, you can experience coldness through air conditioning. but in tagaytay, it was free. add the clean air, and it is just a joy to be anywhere in tagaytay. it was a great rest from my nicotine-filled lungs<hehehe>

reception was done in sonya's garden, a hidden garden within alfonso cavite. the name speaks for its self. it is a beautiful garden indeed. food that was served was all organicly grown in the garden. it's not purely a vegetable garden. it also has ornamental plant. Simple and peaceful would be the best words to describe it. food at sonya's was great too! free flowing salads and freshly squezed dalandan (from the orange family) juice for all to share.
to ate sarge and kuya richard, my best wishes for you! enjoy your new adventure as husband and wife!

on our way back to manila, i received shocking text message from a friend. it said that one of our batchmate from highschool passed away already. jaws open, i re-read the message then replied "weh?? di nga? (this a a really local way of saying "really?"). the reply i got did not give me peace: it read, "it's all over his Facebook". i still didn't believe it 'til i checked it for myself. had to wait home to log-in to my Facebook account through Bookie. i didn't want to think about it so i just slept.

when i got home, i opened Bookie, logged on to my FB account and checked his profile. on his wall were different "you'll be missed..", "rest in peace" messages. i had shivers. i knew this guys from highschool as a nerdy boy who wanted to prove himself, no vices: didn't even smoke or drink, and an all around OK guy..and he was dead.. but how can that happen?? that was the burning question in my head. channeling the detective aspect of my persona, i looked back at his past posts. from what i researched before my internet connection failed, he was in the ICU last friday and he was stable. the next posts said that he passed away already.

my question was left unanswered. i knew i needed to visit his wake to know what really happened.

the good thing about technology is that i bridges gap. by the time my internet connection failed, almost all of my HS classmates knew about his passing through text messaging from there somebody have organized everyone to go visit his wake the following night.

we got completed at the memorial chapel by around 8:30 pm. i finally saw him after 3 years and it was indeed shocking to see him in side a coffin. it was surreal actually. a sad kind of surreal feeling that i still can't associate with a known emotion. then we got the facts: he died during his recovery in their home two weeks after his knee surgery due to (if i remember correctly) bone infection. the injury was from playing basketball. though i was never a fan of basketball, i know that it is a contact sport and injuries are quite common. but it seems weird still that he is still in a coffin.

our group sat down in the chapel and took the opportunity to chat and catch up with each other and share our sentiments about his passing. one thing was evident, we were all sad that he passed. some of us remembered our moments with him. mine was actually during our 5th grade: i arrived early for school (yes, i did although i must have outgrown it since i'm almost always late for work nowadays) and he decided to have a small boxing fight with me. i wasn't in the mood of course since it was so early in the morning but he didn't stop. he kept punching me. i had enough. i looked at him and threw a few punches.. the next thing i knew, he fell down<snap! i had a future as a boxer! hahaha>. we were classmates from grade 5 til 4th year highschool.

since i am a bit sensitive to paranormal stuff, i tried to reach him. i got a response. he just said "thank you for coming"

he will be buried this wednesday.

to domingo, there would be no goodbyes but just "see you soon". i might just have to shout, because im sliding and jumping on rainbow next to heaven<wink>.

friday and saturday alcohol bliss

friday and saturday alcohol bliss
believe it or not, it has been a while since i last a drink with alcohol content. yes, i know it is near impossible for a self confessed alcoholic to say it but i have been sober for the last 4 or 5 months since the immense pressure of work beat its toll down on me.
and at long last, the dry spell of alcohol drought ended this friday night.
we celebrated our company's christmas party last friday! since we didn't have one last year, this was a much awaited event for all the employees as always. this has also happens to be time that our top management announce out bonuses hehehe.. our theme for this year was WSI Got Talent after a popular show abroad. Same a with the show we needed to showcase our talents in the dancing and singing competitions. being not much of a singer, i joined up with other employees and decided to bust a move. and we did! although we came in second, it really didn't matter. because the bonds of new friendship and camaraderie are unbreakable.. hehe
you might be asking where is the alcohol in the story..
well, after having dinner, i was some of my officemates asking for beer from the servers. i asked for one too, of course! and low and behold, the server thursted one bottle of iced cold San Miguel Beer Lights (it is said that it is suppose to have lesser calorie content, yeah right<wink><wink>). as mentioned earlier is have been around 4 or 5 months since my last alcohol drink. just imagine what i felt like for me to hold one ice cold bottle of beer in your hand after a long while! and i took a swig at it....it was like, hmmmm<thinking> , like eating a juicy double patty cheese burger after a long hard days work.. or like your first inhilation of nicotine from a cigarette after a long meeting.. AH BLISS!! i must have drank half of the bottle in one swig. hahahah.
as the party went along, the beer kept coming, the beer kept coming, and boy did they keep coming..i downed about 4 bottles in an hour i think..
it was previously arranged with our team that we will visit a comedy bar after the party. so we headed for the LIbrary at Malate Manila, an amazing comedy bar, with genuis stand up comedians/ comediannes! of course we still ordered beer.AH BLISS! laughing out loud because of the comedy while drinking beer. a lot of you might not know it, but i always would like to take to the stage when ever i can. Yes, there is a star within me that wants to perform! we were debating if we will have one of us sing on stage with the performers. i would have loved to sing, but chickened out because i was  not in mint condition (excuses from avoiding being scrutinized by the perfomrers, hehehe) i do know how to sing but i am not a great singer..hehehe. i just took another swig from my beer bottle, my 8th i think.
when we left the Library, it was already Saturday. time indeed seems to move faster when you are enjoying yourselves in the company of great performers. some of our groupmates needed to leave already, but some of us were still hoping for more! after making sure that the ones leaving were safely in the cabs, we made a bee line to the nearest bar. (malate also houses some of the best bars around metro manila for all shapes and sizes)
and in the dark, crowded, smoky room, we danced the morning away! i think i danced with 3 party goers whom i remember asking their names and had a conversation with. by the way, we were still drinking beer while dancing. holding on to the bottle tightly as it just might fly away when we get carried away dancing heheheh..i must have 2 or 3 more bottles while dancing. they say that dancing while drinking is ok as you can sweat out the alcohol previously taken. NOT TRUE! the combination of a dark room, smoky air, loud music and dancing bodies plus alcohol, might be too much handle for one person..when i felt really thirsty, that was when i knew i needed to go call it a night (more like a morning!) so we all gathered said our goodbyes and waiting for our cabs and finally went our seperate ways. i arrived home at 4:00 am, just as when my mother and my auntie got up to do morning chores. i still have a little chat with them, went to my room, changed, laid in bed and the POOF i was asleep..
woke up the following day at 1:00 pm! completely rested, i was again preparing for a night out this time with my college block mates. i was slow to move and ended late for our call time of 5pm, i got there at 6:45 pm i think. hehehehe. we were meeting up last saturday for our reunion as well as a welcome back party for one of our friend who just got back from abroad. we had dinner at aling tonya's first. we were almost complete. yup, almost. as some of us weren't able to come. after dinner we went to pier one. we preferred it since we were there to catch up with the happenings. if i remember correctly, i had 4 bottles during the talk. Twas really nice to catch up with my college block mates. i remember were during our college days where we were imagining ourselves as successfull business men and women, and we were phoning every one up to grab coffee or more appropriately, grab a beer. and now we are doing it already..
oh how time flies by! one day you might be partying and drinking like there is no tomorrow and then you are back to work again..
ALAS, reality strikes back yet again..

cbasc 2010 christmas party

cbasc 2010 christmas party

it has been 3 year since i last set foot in a small retangular office located in a old bungalow/ building. this particular office has a brown door that opens into a sala/ meeting place with rattan furniture set (one sofa, two armchair[am not sure if that is what it's really called], a small coffee table with a green vase) that has a big cork board that was converted into a calendar hanged above it. across it hangs a large white board with notes from the discussion from the last meeting. the next room holds a make-shift (hmmm..what to call it) "pigeon hole" made out of plastic folders pinned or taped to the walls to hold, documents that needed processing, project proposals, etc. etc. these are labeled by the way, all nine "pigeon holes". there's a desk also next to the computer table with a decent desktop and a scanner that was never used and a printer that was newly bought. next to the computer table was the green filing cabinet that was a hand me down fromt the previous owners. above, tightly fixed to the upper parts of the wall, were glass cabinets where we stored bibles and books in marketing, finance, quantitative techniques, and the philippine constitution plus many many many more.

sounds like a small crampped space right? but it was a place that i called "home" for my last year of service as a student council officer. the reason i called it "home" is because of 9 people plus 3 others who has a bigger office after the basketball courtn after the building which houses our office. cheesy but true.. and i am not ashamed to say it..

YES! it has been a year that i can never forget in my life.. the lessons, the meetings, the plannings, the laughs, the gimmiks, the open-sharing, the dramas (yes there were!) and all that jazz! it was my life. i lived it. i breathed it. i swallowed it.

unfortunately, before that year ends, we needed to vacate that office as it was the end of our term. not to mention, the bungalow/building was to be demolished. yes demolished to make way for a new building. i actually was teary eyed when i saw it all torn down.

but then i said to myself, it didn't matter.. because all that happened in that small office will be with me in my memories. and that the bonds of friendship. no not friendship. let me re-phrase that: and that the bonds of family is way stronger than any building.

and low and behold, that bonds of family still stands until today! 3 years strong baby!

to these 9 plus 3 people, you know who you are. i would like to see you guys again for this year! this might be sort of short notice but i know you can make time.

will be in touch with you guys soon!

pgmamayaman day 1 and 2(the story of spending beyond my means)

pgmamayaman day 1 and 2(the story of spending beyond my means)

day 1
since i always wanted to have a laptop, i asked my mama and papa if i can purchase a laptop using their credit cards. unfortunately, they said no<tear>. and so i deviced a plan in order to raise enough funds to allow me to purchase. i decided to loan from a bank. our company actually offers loans tied up with a bank and the monthly payment would just be deducted from my salary.. sounds great db? but since my mother was a former tellet from a rural bank in their province, she said that the interest rates was smaller and that i can have the money within the same day.. i though about it for a while and decided to go to our province(the lovely municipality of Cuyapo Nueva Ecija) and loan from their rural bank. true enough, i did get the money that i loaned in one day! i had in my hands that day, 22k! 2nd largest amount of money that i has the pleasure of counting! i felt so MAYAMAN at that time.. hehehe

purchasing the laptop was the next step.. i needed to time my purchase on a day/ period that IT resellers would surprisingly and crazily drop their selling prices (i tell you this happens roughly twice a year! you just have to time it well) and it hit me! we will be participating in a 4 day selling event where resellers sell at a discount. I waited til december 2 and finally got BOOKIE, my new Asus netbook. having Bookie for the past 3 days was a blast! never a boring day with him(yes!, i can feel that Bookie is a boy!). i can tell that we are going to have more great times together!

day 2(yes, there is also a day 2:wag umarte!blog ko to!?hehehe)
this just happened earlier this day(december 4)!

part of my plan when i loaned the money is to buy a new mobile phone as the one that i am using is somehow defective na din. here are the reason why i classify it as defective:
1. i have dropped it approximately more than 10 times already. last one, took me about 30 minutes to find some of the pieces that ricochetted off the floor. i didn't find one price though, and i believe it passed away.<moment of silence for the missing piece>
2. because i have dropped it several times already, when ever i open it i would take about 5 minutes before ihe phone completely opens! in computer terms, it still runs in pentium one <tear>
3. as mentioned above i was not able to find one piece <moment of silence> <sniff>(emotional??). this was a decorative piece that made the phone more stylish.. AND WITH THAT, it is simply not stylish enough for me (ME GANUN?!?(channeling MR. POOH)).. hahahahahahahah! what a vain person I am!

having enumerated that, want to know what model of mobile phone I bought???

do you really?

weh di nga?

its nokia's C3 model!

but wait there's more....

the color of the phone is HOT PINK <snap with matching head movements from side to side>!!

It just spoke to me so i got it! Plus, it's on SALE! hahaha! got it for 4990 only. payment was made through an office mate that has a credit card!

i know these purchases would bite my butt hard as i have to pay for the 1st payment of the loan i made plus i have to pay my kind office mate a total of PHP 4990 by next week<tear>

so i am saying this now to my thirteenth month pay = "DEAR THIRTEENth MONTH PAY, HINDI KA MAN LANG IINIT SA PALAD KO..SEE YOU NEXT YEAR NA LANG" <TEAR>

moral lesson: MONEY HAS ITS OWN WAY OF BITING YOU IN THE BUTT <OUCH!>

quiti2xspeaks now

i have always wanted to be a blogger. it has been a long ambition of mine to do this not only to express myself but also better my writing skills as it has been a long while since i last wrote some thing of a literary piece. so forgive me if i am a little rusting on my grammar and syntax.

a big component for this dream realization is the new netbook that i purchased last thrusday! YEY! i have now something to call "fruits of my labor"! though it is not completely mine yet as i have an agreement to relinquish my rights to BOOKIE(the name i gave to my netbook) once i fail to pay the loan i made through my mother. once i fail to pay, they will have full rights to Bookie. THIS MUST NEVER HAPPEN as i have yet to get ROI (return of investment) from purchasing this.

with my blogging device and internet connection courtesy of SmartBRO, I AM READY TO GO!

wondering why I named my blog quiti2xspeaks? i have been called quiti (from my surname) from my elementary days until highschool day in my HS almamater (St. Andrew's School Pque) and i have taken a liking for this name. speaks because this blog would be my outlet to express myself.

i hope you all enjoy!
